Growing up....

Now I know Emily will only be four months old next week, but I am telling you it seems like she is growing up every second. She is so much more animated. And it is so fun because it seems like she shows us something new everyday.

The picture above was her this weekend showing me she could hold up her own book. I am just amazed at how quickly she is doing new stuff. I know there will be lots more and it will continue to amaze me.

I am thankful for weekends like this one where I am able to spend the whole time with her. We had lots of visitors but the only time I was away from her was when we went to church, and it was there that I experienced the first page to go get her ever. My heart sunk when I saw the number, and as I walked up I tried to prepare myself for what could be wrong. And I hear her crying, but then as they hand her to me she smiles at me with the biggest grin. And it is then that I realize my child knew exactly what she was doing.

Just like today when she had a poop explosion all over me. She heard me frantically trying to figure out how to get her clean and myself clean without getting it all on the couch. Then as she is upstairs on the changing table, she lets out a laugh. Not just a smile...but a laugh...a giggle ..as if she knew again what she had done. These are not good signs for me and her daddy if she is already being mischevious:)
