It has been a while. I thought maybe I would be better at blogging with Emily in order for this to be like her baby book and keep up with all the changes.
And I think that is what keeps me from the blog and so busy. There seem to be constant changes. Just when I think I get a routine down...something with Emily changes. And that is to be expected and it's a good thing. But it definitely keeps me on my toes.
I have also had summer camp with kids I work with. Monday through Thursday my camp partner, a fellow therapist, and I go each morning to pick up the kids and doing various social activities while working on appropriate communication and social interactions. We have done a month of girls and a month of boys. We have two weeks left with girls. School starts soon after. If I am honest, I am excited about school starting back and feel like it will be a break. Camp has taken a lot. Monday through Thursday it feels like this is my day:
6:45 AM- Get up and pump
7:00 AM- Get ready and get Emily ready, including all her stuff for daycare.
7:50 AM- Drop Emily off.
8:25 AM- Get to work, check emails and return voicemails.
9 AM- Go pick up kids and camp begins.
4:30 PM (this time varies depending on camp day) Go home to pump
5PM- Go pick up Emily and spend time with her.
5:30 PM- Feed Emily her baby food
6:00 PM- Clean bottles and get all her stuff ready for daycare next day
(Some days fix dinner in here, other days Paul does it.)
6:30 PM- Feed Emily her bottle, give her a bath some of the days.
7:00 PM- Get Emily down.
7:30 PM- Eat dinner and clean up.
8:30PM- Work on clinicial notes for day at camp.
10 PM- Go take a shower.
10:30- Pump.
11PM- Go to bed.
That's a rough schedule. It varies often. And somewhere in there I try to spend time with my husband. So yes I am ready for school to be back in when my schedule will look a little different. I included some picks of Emily started to eat food! It is crazy to me how fast she is already growing. So you see maybe why it has been a little harder to keep up with the blog!
