So for weeks I had been thinking about when we could take Emily to meet Santa. Paul had drill the weekend before and I had gotten emails saying he was going to be several different places. So of course we had to wait and not go then. Daddy had to be there for the first Santa experience.
So this weekend I planned that we would go to the mall after Paul got off work and before his work Christmas party. But that morning I went to the gym and then to Bilo to pick up stuff for Paul to make macaroni and cheese for the party. When I walk in lo and behold Santa is there. And not some mangey cheap looking one..a real good looking St. Nick sitting in a chair greeting customers. I asked how long he would be there and he said until 4. I let him know that I would be back later that day with a little girl excited to meet him.
I mean how great was this?!?!? No fighting mall traffic. No waiting in line. No paying $20 for one picture when I could take my own. Now don't get me wrong...I am sure we will do it at some point, but for a situation when we weren't sure that she would even sit with him..this was perfect.
So I headed home....and later Paul, my mom, brother, and I all went with Emily on her first visit with Santa! She did well. She was not scared or intimidated at all. She was just mainly checking him out. So it was a great experience all in all. We will be looking for him again in less than a week:)
