Stand Up!

Today was a big day for Emily Claire. This morning as we were getting ready she threw something down and proceeded to say, "Uhoh!" Now of course at first I wondered if it was a fluke. Because if you heard it...she makes the sound for the "Uhoh"...but it's not as distinct as we would say it. But then she did it several more times. And to my fault, I may have gotten a little too excited and now she will think it's such a fun game to throw things down and say Uhoh!
And then she stood...all by herself once we got home. Now she has been trying to hard to walk and stand and seems determined...as long as she has one of your hands. She has not been stable on her own and would even stand..but just for a split second and then either fall on her hinny or forward. But tonight..she did it quite a few times for at least five seconds. It was definitely long enough for me to snap those two pictures! And I took two at two different times ..just to prove it wasn't a fluke. My baby is growing up. Tomorrow will make it only a week until she is a year old. Goodness.

Emily and Ben

Emily loves Ben, our cat. She talks to him more than anyone. I so wish I knew what she was saying because she sounds so serious. Please note her frequent mood changes and passionate expressions as she talks to him. It makes me laugh everytime.

My Valentines

I am so very thankful to have two loves of my life to share it with this year. In all honesty, I know Valentines is just another day. I know its just a commercial holiday. But the older I get the more I appreciate something to focus on people. And yes ...I know we need to show love every day. I enjoy giving random presents for no reason. But still having two special people makes it more fun every day to do so. But I am again so very thankful to have two loves this year on Valentine's day..commercial holiday or not.

Eleven Month Old.

Weight: 15.5 lbs at doctor's visit this week when she had a double ear infection.

Length: Unsure

Health: More recently she has been more sick than she ever has. She has battled bronchiolitis and ear infections. But overall still a healthy baby.

Size clothes: 6-9 month old clothes.

Size diapers: Size 2.


Eat: Everything in sight. We just started adding whole milk to her formula for the transition to being on milk and drinking out of a sippy cup by her 1st birthday per doctor's orders.

Sleeps: Still all night.

Disposition: Sassy at times. Emily is able to throw a fit for no reason and then be fine the next minute when she is done. She may be little, but she is not easily intimidated and lets you know.

Loves: Playing with her toys and playing chase.

Doesn’t like: Not getting her way...she is a strong willed child at times.

Milestones: She is standing up with stuff a lot more. She can stand for a few seconds without falling. She walks all over if someone holds her hands. She also has started drinking out of the sippy cup more.

Smiles when: She hears music, especially Justin Bieber.

Recent trips: Columbia one time to see the Nelsons when we had a flat tire after a trip back from Charleston; Columbia to go to Peyton's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese; Downtown Greenville with the Dyers.
